Indiana farmland sells for $9,450 per acre

 KENTLAND, Ind. (Feb. 20, 2014) – Tuesday's auction of approximately 637 acres of farmland in Indiana's Newton County farmland drew a capacity crowd of well over 100 and resulted in a sale of $6.02 million, or $9,450 per acre.

The auction, conducted by Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company, attracted 40 registered bidders.

More than 600 acres of productive Indiana farmland to sell in February Schrader auction

KENTLAND, Ind. (Jan. 21, 2014) -- Approximately 637 acres of highly productive Newton County farmland will be offered at auction Tuesday, Feb. 18, with Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company conducting the auction.
 
“This land is virtually all tillable, with excellent soils. The majority of the land -- approximately 517 acres -- is located along 600 South. This includes tracts of 219 acres and 292 acres that yielded 204 bushels per acre in 2013. These are tiled with a good drainage outlet,” said R.D. Schrader, president of the auction company.

Putnam County, Ind., farmland auction draws capacity crowd, resulting in $7 million sale
