Bank-owned real estate sells for $3.67 million

ATLANTA, Ga. (Nov. 14, 2013) – Bidders from 14 different states and two foreign countries competed vigorously Tuesday for 52 bank-owned properties ranging from a lakefront chalet to residential development land. John Dixon & Associates managed the sale.

After well over two hours of bidding, they had paid $3,677,000 for the properties, most of which were concentrated in North Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina.

Northwestern Indiana farmland sells for $10.24 million, signaling continued demand

COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (Nov. 13, 2013) –  In announcing plans to auction 1,739 acres in northwestern Indiana, R.D. Schrader called it a “very significant event” in a market where relatively few larger farmland properties have been available. And after Tuesday's sale of the land for $10,240,000, he said it was significant in a second way – demonstrating that demand for farmland continues to be strong.

Crawford County farmland, recreational land to sell in major Dec. 12 auction

ROBINSON, Ill. (Nov. 13, 2013) – Approximately 1,553 acres of Crawford County land – most of it productive cropland – will sell at auction Thursday, Dec. 12, with Murray Wise Associates managing the sale.

The land includes 1,273 contiguous acres of tillable cropland, as well as 198 acres of recreational land with frontage on the Embarras River.

Land in Verona business district set for Nov. 22 auction

VERONA, Va. (Nov. 4, 2013) – Approximately 137 acres of land near Interstate 81 in Verona's business district in Augusta County will be sold at auction Friday, Nov. 22, with Woltz & Associates marketing the property and managing the sale.

The land has frontage on U.S. Route 11 and is a short distance from the Augusta County Government Center. It will sell in tracts of 1.9, 22.4 and 113.4 acres.

Amarillo Country Barn Steakhouse sells for $1.98 million

AMARILLO, Texas (Oct. 30, 2013) – Amarillo's Country Barn Steakhouse Restaurant Building sold for $1.98 million Tuesday.“There was a lot of community interest in this auction because the restaurant is such a landmark, but we weren't sure how this would translate into bids for the restaurant itself,” said Spanky Assiter, founder and president of Assiter Auctioneers, which conducted the auction. “We had a dozen live bidders, plus another nine Internet bidders. Three days of John Dixon auctions bring in $6 million

ATLANTA, Ga. (Oct. 29, 2013) – Three John Dixon & Associates auctions in four days attracted large fields of bidders and resulted in combined sales of just over $6 million last week.

The sales in Atlanta, Montgomery and Orlando featured approximately 120 bank-owned properties, according to John Dixon, president of the auction company.

Equestrian estate with land on Yadkin River set for Woltz auction
